Sunday, Nov 28th began our International Missions Emphasis, and kickoff for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. When planning your year end giving for 2004, please remember our Missionaries and the work they do in taking the gospel message into the whole world, fulfilling the Great Commission from our Lord. Members of New Hope lovingly donated 159 shoebox gifts to Samaritan’s Purse. They will be sent to needy children in India, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Angola, Armenia, Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, and Bosnia along with other boxes collected from the Mid-South region of the U.S. May God bless you for your generosity and love for these less fortunate children. CHANGE IN THE SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES - The deacons are making a proposal to go to one service on Sunday Mornings. Sunday School would begin at 9:00 a.m. and the Church Service would begin at 10:30 a.m. The new schedule would begin in January. This would be done on a six month trial basis. The church will be voting on this proposal in the December Business Meeting. If you have any comments or questions concerning this proposal, please feel free to contact any of the deacons. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to work in the Woodford Co Food pantry, Dec 15 – 19. We need workers to be available to work on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Wednesday from 10:00 – 12:00 Noon and Friday 2:00 – 4:00 pm. If you can volunteer to work any of these days, there is a sign up sheet on the table in the Worship Center Foyer. WMU Cookbooks are for sale. These will make great Christmas gifts. Please see one of the WMU ladies to get yours. Cost is $8.00 GA Post Office Opens December 5th. Bring your Christmas and Holiday Greeting Cards for our church family and drop in the mailbox. These will be sorted and placed in the Outgoing Mailbox for delivery. This is a missions project, donations for “postage” will be used to support the GA’s mission work. GA’s Angel Tree will be set up on December 5th . Please pick an angel from the tree and purchase items to brighten someone else’s Holiday Season. Please bring the wrapped gift(s) back to the church with the identifying information on the top of the package(s) and place under the Angel Tree. They will be delivered by the GA’s after the 19th of December. Begin inviting your friends and family to JOURNEY TO THE MANGER, Sunday December 12th at 6:00 p.m. Next Sunday there will be invitations and free tickets available for you to give as reminders of the event.
