Purpose Statement

Because of the high illiteracy rate in our area twenty years ago, our school’s original purpose was to teach children to read because if they can read, they can learn anything. It is also our purpose to teach them good morals and prepare them for adulthood by educating our students in all basic subjects required by our state, so that they can be able to obtain gainful employment, or seek higher education and become self-supporting adults.

For I know the plans I have for you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Christian Philosophy of Education

  • It is important to get a good education.
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.  Luke 2:52

  • Children should be taught in a Christian Environment.
And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy
       children. Isaiah 54:13

  • Children learn better if they have hope and faith.
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

  • Children should have discipline in order to learn.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
       Proverbs 22:6

  • Education should be in alignment with God’s Word.
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth. II Timothy 2:14

  • Lessons should be taught sequentially, in their proper order.
        For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line;
here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:10

  • Children should be taught through selective wholesome literature.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever
things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these
        things. Philippians 4:8

  • Children should be taught to be honest, moral, self-supporting adults that use their God given talents to better their community.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
